Afronation Festival Lagos edition cancelled

AfroNation is a renowned global festival celebrating the vibrant and dynamic Afrobeat music genre. The festival has been held in various countries such as Portugal, Ghana, Miami, and Detriot however this would have been its first showcase in Lagos, Nigeria. The Festival’s Nigerian edition was a sort of homecoming for the festival to the birthplace of Afrobeats. The now-cancelled event promised a two-day spectacular array of musical performances by Burna Boy, J Hus, Seyi Vibez and Black Sherif.

The event organizers via a press release on social media said “Afro Nation Nigeria 2023 – Cancellation Information. As disappointed as we are that we won’t be coming to Lagos this year, we want our homecoming show to be up to the standards you deserve. We’ll be back soon, bigger and better!” The organisers of the showcase have promised to refund all those who have previously purchased tickets. Afronation promises to continue to create an Afronation in Lagos.
