Davido celebrates Chris Brown’s release from jail

Davido Celebrates Chris Brown’s Release After UK Legal Issues

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido (David Adeleke) has publicly celebrated the release of American R&B icon Chris Brown, who was recently detained in the United Kingdom over legal troubles.

Brown, 36, was arrested on May 15, 2025, at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel shortly after landing in the UK. The arrest stemmed from a 2023 incident in which he was accused of assaulting music producer Abraham Diaw with a bottle during a London nightclub altercation. After being held in custody and initially denied bail, Brown was finally granted release by a London court on May 21, 2025.

Shortly after news of Brown’s bail approval broke, Davido took to social media to share his excitement. The DMW label boss posted a brief but enthusiastic message on his Instagram Stories, writing: **“Breezy Out!”**—a reference to his longtime friend and collaborator.

Davido and Chris Brown share a strong friendship that goes beyond music. The two have worked together on hit tracks like *Blow My Mind* and *Sensational*, earning praise from fans worldwide for their creative synergy. Their bond has also been evident through mutual public support in both personal and professional endeavors.

Davido’s public reaction highlights his unwavering support for Brown during this challenging time, further solidifying their close-knit relationship in the entertainment industry.
