BNXN drops new single ‘Very Soon’ featuring FOLA
Nigerian Afro-fusion star BNXN (formerly Buju) drops his emotive new single Very Soon, featuring rising vocalist FOLA, as the fourth preview of his upcoming album CAPTAIN, set for release on July 3, 2025.
Following earlier 2025 releases like the love-struck Cutesy, the hypnotic Phenomena, and the Rema-assisted Fi Kan We Kan, Very Soon deepens the emotional narrative of BNXN’s sophomore project. Produced by Beatz Vampire Craze, the track fuses Afrobeats’ vibrant energy with R&B’s soulful depth, as BNXN reflects on love, patience, and personal growth. His poignant lyrics—“Ero bi mase para o je kin sun, very very soon I’ll do it better and I promise you ah”—capture the ache of longing and the promise of devotion. FOLA, fresh off his 2024 breakout Alone (and its BNXN-featured remix), enhances the track with his rich, emotive vocals, creating a compelling contrast with BNXN’s signature cadence.
Since his 2019 debut *Spiritual* with Zlatan, BNXN has risen as a defining voice in Afrobeats, racking up over 2.1 billion streams and working with global heavyweights like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Dave. His 2023 debut album, *Sincerely, Benson*, spawned hits like Finesse and GWAGWALADA, blending raw lyricism with irresistible grooves. Very Soon continues that legacy while hinting at the evolution fans can expect from CAPTAIN—a 16-track journey BNXN describes as his “ascension to leadership” in music.
FOLA’s feature reinforces the track’s emotional pull, building on the chemistry from their Alone remix collaboration. Early reactions suggest *Very Soon* could become a standout on the album, with fans praising its heartfelt delivery and melodic richness.
The single arrives as BNXN solidifies his global reach, from his chart-topping RnB EP with Ruger (256M+ streams) to electrifying international performances. With *CAPTAIN* on the horizon, *Very Soon* sets the stage for what may be BNXN’s most ambitious work yet—a fusion of introspection, innovation, and the infectious sound that has made him a powerhouse.
