Falz Denies Any Personal Ties to Bobrisky Amid Leaked Call Controversy, Updates on Defamation Case

Popular rapper and lawyer Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has firmly dismissed rumors of a personal relationship with controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky. 

The speculation arose after a leaked 2024 phone conversation, shared online by social media commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM), suggested Falz had been in contact with Bobrisky during his incarceration. However, Falz clarified that Bobrisky had only reached out to him seeking legal advice. 

“I had no prior relationship with Bobrisky before that call. He messaged me on Instagram, explaining his situation and asking for legal assistance,” Falz stated. “Like many others, he was just one of thousands who reach out for help—nothing unusual about it.”

Additionally, Falz provided an update on the defamation lawsuit he and his father, prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana, filed against VeryDarkMan. He revealed that the defendants have yet to present a defense, instead filing a preliminary objection challenging the court’s jurisdiction. 

“The court has now ruled on their objection, meaning they must proceed with their defense—otherwise, the case will move forward without it,” Falz explained during an interview with Arise TV
