Reekado Banks Announces Release Date for New Album The Game Needs You

Nigerian Afropop sensation Reekado Banks has officially revealed the release date for his highly anticipated album, The Game Needs You. The singer confirmed the news via social media on Monday, June 9, 2025, sharing a teaser with the caption “7/7“—hinting at a July 7, 2025, drop. 

Earlier, on June 6, the artist had teased fans with a post stating: “The album: TGNY – The Game Needs You, will be out 7/7/25.” The newly unveiled album artwork showcases a minimalist white backdrop with a striking maroon triangular emblem labeled “Reekadia,” possibly signaling a new creative direction. 

Spanning 15 tracks with a runtime of 40 minutes and 15 seconds, the project has already sparked excitement among fans. The Game Needs You marks another milestone in Reekado Banks’ career, further cementing his influence in the Afrobeats scene. 

The album is set to officially drop on July 7, 2025
