Portable Criticizes Bella Shmurda for Podcast Remarks

Portable Claps Back at Bella Shmurda Over Podcast Collaboration Snub

Controversial Nigerian street-hop artist Portable, real name Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, has responded aggressively to comments made by singer Bella Shmurda (Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed) during a recent podcast appearance.

During an interview on skit maker Isbae U’s Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, Bella Shmurda was asked about a potential collaboration with Portable. He declined, stating their musical styles don’t match and subtly referencing a desire to avoid “wahala” (trouble)—a remark widely seen as a dig at Portable’s contentious reputation.

Portable quickly retaliated in a fiery social media video, dismissing Bella’s stance and asserting his superiority in the music industry. The Zazoo Zeh hitmaker boasted about his international success, taunted Bella’s career achievements, and even dared him to show his passport as evidence of global reach.

Bella’s head no correct. We’re not on the same level,” Portable ranted. He accused Bella of seeking clout ahead of his upcoming album and took a shocking jab by referencing the late Mohbad, suggesting that misfortune followed those who worked with Bella—a claim that has sparked backlash online.

Portable also alleged that he performed at Bella’s London show without payment and warned him against disrespecting more influential figures in the industry.

The explosive feud has since gone viral, with fans divided over the artists’ exchange and Portable’s latest outburst.
