Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has confirmed that Mavin Records star Rema gave him ₦40 million to support the production of his Pity This Boy music video. 

The revelation came from a resurfaced interview where Odumodublvck shared how he ignored advice not to release his song the same day as Rema’s new single. His decision led to an unexpected act of generosity from the Calm Down hitmaker. 

“They told me not to drop my song with Rema, but I did. The same guy sent me ₦40M to shoot *Pity This Boy*,” he said.

Odumodublvck had first hinted at the gift in a June 9, 2025 tweet, calling it a historic moment in Nigerian music. The news has since gone viral, with fans celebrating the rare show of support between artists in a competitive industry.
