Nigerian veteran music producer, Id Cabasa is bringing nostalgic memories to music fans in Africa with a remake of the classic hit song ‘Olufunmi’ by legendary music group, Styl-Plus.
The producer made the announcement on his official Instagram page today, May 23, 2024. “We created a movie at premiers at 12midnight. @official_stylplus gave us the biggest privilege to do this”, he wrote.
The remake of ‘Olufunmi’ which is produced by Id Cabasa features music heavyweights like Fireboy, Joeboy, Boj, and rapper, Odumodu Blvck.
This development has a lot of Nigerians and even Africans excited, as ‘Olufunmi’ was one of the songs that defined and paved the way for African music beyond the shores of the continent.
Styl-Plus was one of the industry leaders in the early 2000s with hit songs like ‘Olufunmi’, ‘Imagine That’, ‘Iya Basira’, ‘Run Away’, and many others.
