Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, known as 2Baba, has publicly appealed to fans to stop fueling the ongoing drama surrounding his marriage to his wife, Natasha Osawaru, warning that the intense attention is “putting Natasha at risk.”
The 50-year-old star shared an emotional plea on Instagram, including a Story titled βA pleaβ with the bold words βhelp me.β
In a subsequent video, 2Baba insisted the situation had spiraled and urged his supporters to calm down, stating, βThis is getting out of hand, and itβs becoming a dangerous situation.β He stressed that while disagreements are normal, the current escalation is harmful: βI know what fans can do; I know what people can do. Iβm perfectly okay. This is putting Natasha at risk, itβs not fair to anybody.β
He pleaded for a βceasefire,β asking friends, family, and fans to allow him and his wife to handle their private matters: βPlease, ceasefire. I beg you. I am perfectly fine. I did not make that post. Please, Iβm okay,β referring to previous social media activity.
The controversy intensified after media personality Daddy Freeze hosted a live session where 2Babaβs former management team, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Natasha of seeking βfull controlβ of the singer’s professional and personal life, claiming she dictated his finances and that he needed to be βsaved.β
The situation escalated when 2Baba joined the livestream and angrily told his former managers to βshut the fk up,β instructing them to stay out of his private affairs. An off-camera argument between him and Natasha was then heard before the session abruptly ended.
2Babaβs current statement is focused on halting the public spectacle and protecting his wife from the widespread attention.
