Afrobeats star Ruger is finally breaking his silence. His record label, Blown Boy Entertainment, released an official statement addressing the singer’s recent musical hiatus.
According to management, Ruger’s absence from the airwaves was due to a legal battle with an ex-girlfriend, who sued him for alleged “emotional distress” and “damages.” With that heavy chapter officially behind him, the label confirms a fresh start and a new energy for the artist. Fans won’t have to wait much longer for the comeback; new music is locked in to drop this August.
In the meantime, the “Asiwaju” crooner is taking his talents on the road. He is scheduled for a summer tour with performances across Belgium, Málaga, Bali, Malawi, and the United States.
